Chisinau city hall to receive money from National Ecological Fund

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall will receive almost six million lei from sums accumulated in the National Ecological Fund for the implementation of the project titled, Ecological platforms for collecting of household waste in the Chisinau city.

Under the project, platforms will be modernized/constructed for the collection of household waste and new containers, which meet the European standards, will be renovated/purchased.

The new technology of arranging platforms for the collection of household waste will be environment friendly – the platform’s foundation will have a water isolation layer, in order to avoid the penetration of polluted waters into the soil.

Also, works of planting decorative trees and bushes will be carried out nearby the platforms.

The National Ecological Fund was created under a government decision, in order to accumulate additional financial means for financing activities in the environmental protection sector.
