Moldovan electoral body sets up electoral districts for organizing new local polls

Chisinau, 23 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC), at a today’s meeting, set up the first-level electoral districts for the holding of new local polls for the office of mayor of the Tarnova village, northern Donduseni district, and Nucareni village, central Telenesti district, due on 6 September 2020.

The village electoral district Tarnova, Donduseni district, was created with the number 13/21 and the village electoral district Nucareni, Telenesti district, - with the number 34/20 and meet the borders of the administrative and territorial units, provided for in the Law no 764/2001 on Moldova’s administration and territorial organization.

The vacancy of the mayor office appeared following resignations tendered, reasoned by the election as heads of the Donduseni and, respectively, Telenesti districts.
