Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon, at a 24 July meeting with Moldovan journalists, said that he did not want the postponing of the presidential elections due in next November. He noted that this can take place, only if emergency state would be declared.
"I do not want the adjourning of the presidential polls; yet, this can take place only because of a worsening of the epidemiological situation in the country. But, if the number of infections with COVID-19 grows, we will be obliged to declare emergency state in October/November. This can happen,’’ Igor Dodon said.
The National Extraordinary Public Health Commission on 24 July extended the emergency state in the health sector all over Moldova till 31 August.
