More countries maintain traven bans for Moldovan citizens

Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) has updated its travel warnings for more states.   

According to the information unveiled, the two neighbour countries of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine, maintain the travel bans for the Moldovan citizens. Thus, the entry in Romania of people coming from the countries on the list of the states with high epidemiological risk, is prohibited, among which there is Moldova too.  

The entry and stay in Ukraine is allowed to Moldova’s citizens only in the case of presence of the insurance policy, which will serve as guarantee for paying the spending for treating the new-type coronavirus, with compulsory placement on established locations or observation spaces (quarantine) for a 14-day period, with the setting of the application Home Action on the personal mobile phone.      

Till 31 July 2020, the access of Moldovans in Bulgaria is banned; this is a country with tourist destination for most Moldovans. Also, the Greek authorities informed about the decision to extend till 31 July the temporary entry interdictions for the citizens from non-EU countries.

Also, the Italian authorities maintain the restrictions to enter Italy for the citizens of more states, including Moldova, till 31 July 2020. Thus, the regulations prohibiting the entrance in Italy of people who have stayed or transited Moldova in the last 14 days remain in force. The direct and indirect flights to and from Moldova remain suspended. The restrictions are valid for the land transport too.     

Austria also ceased the flights to and from Moldova starting from 16 July 2020, 00:00, till 31 July 2020.  

Moldova’s citizens have entry restrictions in the following countries: the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Croatia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Hungary, Switzerland and others.
