Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today continued his working visit to the Molesti and Hansca villages from the central Ialoveni district. He discussed with villagers the consequences of the last June floods, as well as the problems accumulated since the last visit, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In the Molesti settlement, the PM discussed the march of the works for restoring a road segment from the settlement and the regional road Costesti-Molesti G104. The repair of the road segment with a length of 350 metres is important for the local residents, as it leads to the kindergarten from the village.
Ion Chicu inspected the works’ quality. ‘’This year, I said, from the very beginning, that we must put emphasis on quality. When I spoke with all mayors of Moldova, my request for them was not to accept non-qualitative works at roads’ repair. We see a wise approach here. I asked to be selected smaller sectors, but to be made qualitatively. We should not do kilometres for reporting and everything is washed off with the first rain,’’ the prime minister said.
The Molesti village mayor, Mihail Catan, appreciated the government’s involvement in the problems faced by the settlement. Subsequently, the PM inspected the works of repair of the road which connects the Costesti and Molesti settlements. The rehabilitation of the segment started in last June and is to be finished in October 2021. The project’s sum is about 22.3 million lei and 4.7 km of road will be restored within the project, including the road to the Hansca village.
The prime minister discussed also with the Hansca village mayor the consequences of the June 2020 floods and the settlement’s connection to gas supply network. Hansca mayor Elena Mosnegutu thanked the government for the financial support provided to the seven families fit by the floods.
At the same time, the mayor asked for help for another family, whose dwelling was deteriorated. To this end, the PM asked the Ialoveni district head to allocate financial resources from the district budget. Ion Chicu inspected also a road segment of about 400 metres, on which repairs started two days ago. The project’s cost is 990,000 lei and it is to be made available for use in several weeks. ‘’This road will allow children go to school on a good road and I hope it will be finished in due time,’’ the prime minister added.
