Decision on opening polling stations abroad to be taken 35 days before elections due in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - The decision on opening polling stations abroad will be taken 35 days before the election date.
According to a press release by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the number of polling stations due to be opened abroad depends on more factors: the number of voters who participated in the previous ballot; the number of Moldovan citizens preliminarily registered for participating in the voting; official information on the COVID-19 pandemic, got by the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry from the competent authorities of the residence countries.
Presidential elections will take place in Moldova on 1 November.
