Enterprise for producing thermo-insulating materials to be constructed in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - The fiscal facilities from which investors can benefit in Free Economic Zones (FEZ), Industrial Parks and the 16 multifunctional industrial platforms, as well as the construction of an enterprise for producing thermo-insulating materials were subjects discussed at a today’s meeting between Economics and Infrastructure Minister Sergiu Railean and representatives of the Penoplex company from Russia.
The Moldovan minister said that one of the principal priorities of the government was to attract foreign investments and create an attractive climate for investors. ‘’The foreign investments are of strategic importance for the development of the economy and creating new jobs, especially on post-pandemic crisis and economic re-launch period. We encourage you to participate in tenders related to infrastructure projects, which take place in Moldova and in the work of free economic zones, industrial parks,’’ Sergiu Railean said.
For his part, the deputy director general of the Penoplex company, Yuriy Chatayev, said that he had analyzed investment opportunities provided by Moldova, noting that the company was willing to launch development projects, due to contribute to Moldova’s economic growth. In the context, the businessman showed intention to build a factory for producing construction materials and decorative finish, based on polymers, in Moldova.
„The construction of the new factory in Moldova is to be carried out in 2021. For the beginning, we are set to create 120 jobs; most of the production process is automated with advanced Italian and German equipment. We will provide training to 30 engineers; the other employees do not need specialized training,’’ the Russian entrepreneur said.
The Penoplex company has a position of leader on the Russian market of thermo-insulating materials from extruded polystyrene foam and is one of the biggest producers on the thermo-insulating market of Russia. The products made at the PENOPLEX factories are sold in all regions of Russia, Commonwealth of Independent States countries and Europe.
Presently, about 970 enterprises with Russian capital work in Moldova, with the investments in the registered share capital amounting to 1,063.2 million lei. Thus, Russia ranks 6th among the investment partners in terms of the capital invested.
