Right to pension to be able to be demanded by proxy in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The decree on promulgation and the law on the amendment of the Article 31 from the Law No 156/1998 on the public pensions’ system will be published in the 31 July issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).

Under the new provisions, the application on retirement and the needed acts could be submitted to the territorial social insurances body from the place of residence not only by the person who got to pension, but also by the representative nominated by proxy.

The draft is meant to support the people who, because of the health condition, cannot move to personally submit the application on retirement and the needed acts to the territorial social insurances body, including the people who stay abroad, who cannot return to Moldova to fulfill the right to pension, because of the situation emerged because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
