13:06 | 31.07.2020 Category: Economic

Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Administrative Board of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today considered and approved the cut in the regulated tariffs and prices for electric energy.

According to ANRE, the reduction of tariffs for the end consumers has become possible due to the following factors: decrease in the average purchasing price of the electric energy from the central electricity provider from 1.63 lei/KWhour to 1.46 lei/KWhour or by 10 per cent, decrease in the acquisition price of electric energy by seven per cent, positive tariff deviations accumulated till 1 July 2020 and the evolution of the national currency’s annual average exchange rate against the U.S. dollar for 2020, estimated at 17.9 lei/one dollar, against the annual average exchange rate of the national currency of 17.58 lei/one dollar, included in the tariffs/prices in force (with +1.8 per cent).

Thus, the end consumers served by the enterprise with state capital, Premier Energy Ltd will pay 1.68 lei/KWhour, by 0.21 lei or 11.1 per cent less against the price in force.

The end consumers served by the stock company Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord (Nord Electric Energy Supply) will pay 2.14 lei/KWhour, by 0.085 lei or 3.8 per cent less against the price in force.

Alsop, decision-makers approved the prices for electric energy supplied to other categories of end consumers. Thus, the enterprise with state capital Premier Energy Ltd will take over the tax of 1.32 lei/KWhour from the end consumers, whose use installations are connected to the medium-tension electricity distribution networks (6-10 KV), by 0.212 lei/KWhour or 13.8 per cent less than the price in force and of 1.17 lei/KWhour for the end consumers whose use installations are connected to the high-tension electricity distribution networks (35-110 KV), by 0.206 lei/KWhour or 14.9 per cent less than the price in force.

The consumers of the stock company Nord Electric Energy Supply, whose use installations are connected to the medium-tension electricity distribution networks, will pay 1.57 lei/KWhour, by 0.064lei/KWhour or 3.9 per cent less than the price in force.

The new regulated prices and the tariffs for the services of supply and distribution of electric energy will enter into force on the date of their publication in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
