European Union's first financial installment to be disbursed in next September

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu has said that the first financial installment, worth 50 million euros, on behalf of the European Union would be disbursed in next September.

Ion Chicu today unveiled the subjects discussed at the weekly meeting of the Moldovan top leadership. The main subjects tackled were focused on the financial installment worth 100 million euros on behalf of the European Union, situation in the agriculture sector and evolution of the coronavirus pandemic in Moldova.

According to the PM, after the cabinet of ministers has ratified the agreement on macro-financial assistance worth 100 million euros on behalf of the European Union, the parliament is to ratify this document as well, so that the first financial installment worth 50 million euros is disbursed in September 2020. ‘’It is necessary to fulfill six conditions contained in this agreement, ratified by the government, for the disbursement of the second installment,’’ Ion Chicu said.
