New corridor of transit of Moldova's territory launched

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau International Airport, air – Criva-Mamaliga road, is the new corridor of transit of Moldova’s territory, set up besides the existing ones and which was launched today.
According to the General Inspectorate of Border Police, in this way, the transiting of Moldova’s territory can be made directly, without stopping, through the following corridors established through border checkpoints: Giurgiulesti-Galati, road – Giurgiulesti-Reni, road; Chisinau International Airport, air – Leuseni-Albita, road; Chisinau International Airport, air – Palanca-Mayaki-Udobnoye, road; Chisinau International Airport, air – Criva-Mamaliga, road.
These corridors can be used for transiting in both directions.
„In these cases, travellers will receive an act on the itinerary of transiting and the time needed provided for the exit from Moldova. This time is limited, short, just as it is necessary to reach the border crossing point established for the exit from the country,’’ the Border Police said.
The emergency state in the public health sector is in force in Moldova because of the COVID-19 pandemic till 31 August 2020, which imposes more restrictions, including movement ones.
