Moldovan president meets deputy head of presidential administration

Chisinau, 5 August /MOLDPRES/- On a working visit to Moscow, President Igor Dodon had a productive meeting today with Dmitri Kozak, Deputy Head of Presidential Administration, Special Representative of FR President for developing economic relations with Moldova, the presidential press service has reported.
Officials discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral relations between our countries. In particular, the sides agreed to hold a new meeting of the Moldovan-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation in Chisinau in October to sign a lot of important bilateral agreements.
The sides approached the resumption of negotiations on granting Russian credit worth 200 million euros to support economic agents and population of the Republic of Moldova in this difficult period. Igor Dodon and Dmitri Kozak agreed that in the coming days, the first round of negotiations between the representatives of the Governments of the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation will take place.
In another context, the officials noted a good dynamic of Moldovan goods exports to the Russian market, after the Russian government extended the duty-free import period for a number of important agro-industrial goods, which gives our producers the opportunity to save significantly.
In this context, the head of state discussed with the Russian side the issue on granting authorizations for the transit of Moldovan goods on the territory of Ukraine for export to Russia.
Dodon also agreed with Kozak that in the near future, the possibility of providing our country with Russian humanitarian aid free as diesel (tens of thousands of tons) to support Moldovan farmers who were most affected by long drought.
