Chisinau, 6 August /MOLDPRES/- The decision on the 11 March 2020 Agreement between the governments of the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Finland on mutual assistance and cooperation in customs will be published in the Official Journal on 7 August.

This agreement aims to ensure the economic security of both states, through mutual assistance, ensure the correct application of customs legislation, accurate assessment of customs payments, compliance with prohibition, restriction and control measures and unification of joint actions against violations of customs legislation and ensuring favorable conditions for facilitating international trade.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Serghei Puscuta, Minister of Finance, the project aims at strengthening the relations of cooperation and mutual assistance between the customs authorities of the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Finland to optimize actions against violations of customs legislation, which harms the economic, commercial, fiscal, social, cultural, industrial and agricultural interests of both states.
