Chisinau, 6 August /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic paid a visit to Rezina today and discussed with the local public administration, doctors living in the Transnistrian region, who chose to be temporarily accommodated in Rezina due to traffic restrictions imposed by Tiraspol, as well as with teachers of Olimp high school, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
The representatives of the Rezina district hospital spoke about the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and traffic difficulties in the security area.
"We paid special attention to the population on the left bank of the Dniester, which does not benefit from medical services and high-performance equipment. Every year, about 100 women from the Transnistrian region come to give birth in Rezina, up to a thousand patients are treated for hepatitis, infectious diseases and cancer. However, I did not imagine we would get in a situation where we, the doctors, would not be able to access the service to help people. 21 doctors and nurses from the Transnistrian region work at the Rezina district hospital, and now we feel a shortage of human resources. We chose to be accommodated and we are grateful, but the lack of family is felt psychologically, " director of the district hospital Mrs. Postu said.
Lesnic said that the possibility of accommodation and daily allowances for doctors from the Transnistrian region working on the right bank of the Dniester was extended by late September. At the same time, several possible solutions were examined, which would facilitate the free movement of doctors on both banks of the Dniester, including organized transportation and testing for COVID-19 every few days to reunite with family and loved ones.
The needs of the hospital were examined, approaching investments in the thermal insulation of the building and the change of carpentry, which would also ensure the comfort of patients and the energy efficiency of the institution. The hospital administration noted it will participate in the competition for projects from the reintegration fund.
Lesnic also visited Olimp High School in Rezina, where 24 pupils from Râbnița and other localities study.
Lesnic agreed with the administration on an interaction mechanism to prepare all formalities with Tiraspol. "The Office for Reintegration Policies will take the necessary steps to ensure the movement of pupils and their companions even in conditions of self-isolation of the Transnistrian region," she said.
In another context, the high school administration informed that they have concluded the procurement procedures for implementation of the projects financed from the Action Program for the Country Reintegration worth 500 thousand lei. It is about the capital repair of the festivities and sports hall. Previously, within the PART, roof repair works, arrangement of bathrooms and sports halls and festivities were financed worth over 1.7 million lei.
Today, the official visited the Lafarge Ciment factory in Rezina, where 17 employees from Râbnița work. The administration has previously requested the assistance of the Reintegration Policy Office to ensure the free movement and presence of employees at work. According to the administration, some of the employees have temporarily moved to Rezina and others are technically unemployed. At the same time, ample information was presented about the strict measures of personnel protection, which allowed to avoid the spread of the new coronavirus among the 200 employees.
The dialogue took place in a constructive, interactive and oriented way to identify common solutions to citizens.
