As many as 217 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 9 August /MOLDPRES/- In the last 24 hours, 2,406 tests were processed in the Republic of Moldova, and 217 cases of infection with the new coronavirus were confirmed. So far 27,660 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS), two cases are imported.13 are health workers.

Another 200 people were treated. So far, 19,300 people have been treated.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of four more deaths due to the new coronavirus, including a 65-year-old pediatrician from Cimișlia.Thus, 29 medical workers died due to COVID-19 infection. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 845 people have died of coronavirus in Moldova.
