Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/- Today, Prime Minister Ion Chicu conveyed a message to participants in the DOR program, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The message says:

"Dear participants in the DOR program,

I send you a warm greeting on inauguration of this year's edition of the DOR program, a program that unites good thoughts and innocent smiles of children and young people. Of course, I would have liked to talk to you directly in a happy summer camp for pupils here in Moldova, I'm sure we have a lot to tell, but we have to adapt to realities.

The DOR program is the longest-running program implemented by the Diaspora Relations Office, under the patronage of the Moldovan government. The program aims to raise awareness of the young generation on preservation of cultural and national identity, strengthening emotional ties with the homeland of grandparents, parents, friends.

I am sure some of you will return to the country, just as others make plans to integrate in the country where you are to talk fondly about Moldova.

I urge you to learn, assimilate as much experience as possible, learn useful things, which you can apply later wherever you are - here or abroad. Do not lose touch with Moldova because the country needs each of you.

The government is working to create favorable conditions for the return, and we will support various programs aimed at maintaining the close ties of our fellow citizens from abroad with their homeland, as DOR program and Diaspora Days.

I wish you an interesting participation in the activities prepared for you within the DOR.

Be healthy, love your parents, love your family, love Moldova!

Good luck!"
