Moldovan president meets Russian envoy

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon had a working meeting on Wednesday with Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetov, the presidential press service has reported.
Officials discussed a wide range of issues related to development and strengthening of strategic partnership between our states.
The sides highly appreciated the results of the recent negotiations in Moscow of the head of state with Dmitry Kozak, deputy head of the presidential administration. In particular, those related to the resumption of negotiations for granting Russian credit amounting to 200 million euros and the provision of humanitarian aid by the Russian Federation to our farmers, affected by the drought.
The officials approached the coronavirus vaccine, the creation of which Russian President Vladimir Putin has recently announced. Dodon congratulated the Russian partners on this important achievement in medical science given the pandemic, and noted the interest of our country in getting the vaccine. In this respect, the Moldovan leadership will send a request to Moscow in the near future.
