Moldovan government to allocate over 3.2 million lei to support localities suffering from disasters

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- The Official Journal of Moldova on 14 August will publish the government's decision to allocate about 3.2 million lei for liquidating the consequences of emergency to local public administration authorities.
Under the decision, the Ministry of Finance will allocate from the government intervention fund financial means worth over 3.25 million lei for liquidating the consequences of emergency. The money will be directed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (General Police Inspectorate), village councils Gangura, Costeşti, Horeşti (Ialoveni district), Volintiri and Ştefăneşti (Ştefan Vodă district) and Ştefan Vodă city council.
The financial means will be used for the restoration of the roads destroyed by the rains, material compensations to individual households affected by the calamities, liquidation of other consequences of bad weather etc.
In May, June-July, heavy rain fell in several areas of the country, accompanied by strong winds and hail that damaged homes and agricultural land in several villages and towns in the Republic of Moldova.
