Chisinau, 15 August /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu conveyed a message today on Financial Day, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The message says:

"On August 15 Moldova celebrates the Financial Day and this year we mark the 25th anniversary.

I have worked in this sector, so I can say that I have grown in the public finance system. I highly appreciate the contribution of every colleague of mine in the public finance system for correct, efficient and responsible management of the country's money.

Employees in the financial-banking system play an important role in developing and strengthening the country's economy and improving people’s welfare. Believe me, they have no right to emotions or mistakes, because they are responsible for country’s financial security, well-run companies and state institutions.

Dear colleagues,

Together with you, we managed to promote and implement the budgetary-fiscal reforms necessary for our country to benefit from the confidence of international financial institutions and development partners. Together we manage to cope with the financial crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and this year's drought. We continue to rely on a fruitful cooperation for modernizing financial instruments, increasing competitiveness of financial-banking system and drawing foreign investments and developing the country's economy.

I notice and appreciate the professional qualities of every employee in finance and I want to send you all a message of gratitude, wish you health, prosperity and new achievements at professional and personal level.”
