Moldovan speaker to attend Fifth World Conference of Speakers

Chisinau, 19 August /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanii will participate in the Fifth World Conference of Speakers, due online on 19 -20 August, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The event focused on parliamentary leadership for more effective multilateralism that provides peace and sustainable development to people and planet.
Greceanii will deliver speech on Human mobility: challenges, opportunities and solutions, talking about migration, especially labor migration. The speaker will refer to the policies promoted by the Moldovan authorities for the good management of labor migration aimed at returning citizens and cooperation between the countries of origin, transit and destination.
The World Conference of Speakers is organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in cooperation with the UN and the Austrian Parliament. The meeting will be held in six official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish) and German - the language of the host country.
The IPU is the global organization of national parliaments. Its activity was launched in 1889 to promote peace through diplomacy and parliamentary dialogue. Today, the Inter-Parliamentary Union has 179 parliaments and 13 associate members.
