Way of registration of candidates for presidential election amended

Chisinau, 19 August /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission approved today the amendment of the regulation on particularities of nomination and registration of candidates in the elections for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova.

Maxim Lebedinschi, CEC secretary said that the regulation was consulted both with the Ministry of Justice and CNA, as well as with the Promo-LEX association. "All proposals from civil society were accepted. The project has several technical, grammar adjustments of the norms of regulation compared to other normative acts and the Electoral Code ”, he said.

The main change in the regulation on the nomination and registration of candidates in the presidential election is related to the adjustment of the regulation and the model of the candidates' income statement. "The amendments should be voted as soon as possible, so that during the nomination period, the initiative groups have a clearer view on the changes," Lebedinschi said.
