Moldovan PM visits Milesti village

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/- After Prime Minister Ion Chicu was informed by residents of Milesti village about some deviations in the construction of Pârlița-Nisporeni road, he visited locality today to talk to people and local authorities. The road is being rehabilitated over a length of 12.5 km and covers five localities in the region.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, mayor of the village informed that the works are carried out on terms and so far no deviations have been registered. He also appreciated that the village workers are involved in repairing the road. "If there is no infrastructure, there is no economy. This road was built 40 years ago, until the route was repaired, no one from the village passed through here. Now, people are already interested in buying land closer to the route," the mayor of Milesti said.
Chicu said that the government continues to achieve the major goal to rehabilitate the country's road infrastructure, which is a priority for the development of rural areas and stopping the emigration of citizens.
The value of the contract is 95.5 million lei. The repair of the road segment started in July 2019 and so far 58% of the works have been executed. The trader has committed to complete the works by late 2021.
