Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/- Starting with 1 September, the preschool and general education will be resumed in public and private educational institutions, which will have to comply with strict rules and instructions for activity. This decision was taken today during the meeting of the National Commission for Public Health and was presented by Prime Minister Ion Chicu at a news briefing.
According to the government's communication and protocol department, the final decision to reopen educational institutions will belong to the founders, only after they meet all rules set out in the CNESP instruction. "Although there is a decision by the Commission to resume the educational process, it is not guaranteed that all schools will be reopened from September 1. We hope that in the remaining time all preparations are completed ", Chicu said.
Schools and universities will need to be provided with thermometers, disinfectants and other hygiene products. To this end, the government will allocate an additional 31 million lei and another 105 million lei for remuneration of teachers who will work harder in the next period.
In the spaces inside the schools and universities, strips will be marked to delimit the distance between people of at least 1.5 meters. The same distance will be observed between desks in the classrooms. To avoid crowds, lessons will start at different times and if needed could be reduced. Inside the institutions, everyone will be required to wear protective masks, covering the nose and mouth.
Every day, at the entrance, a medical worker will perform the epidemiological triage of pupils, students and staff. If cases of COVID-19 virus infection are detected, the entire group / class will be placed in self-isolation for a period of 14 days.
At the same time, the 14-day self-isolation regime was partially lifted for citizens coming from abroad. The Ministry of Health will set up the list of countries and regions with increased epidemiological risk, classified in red and green areas. The list will be published on the official websites and will be updated weekly. Thus, people entering our country from green areas will not be required to comply with the quarantine regime. And those who come from red zones will have to fill in the epidemiological files and observe self-isolation for 14 days.
Depending on the evolution of the epidemiological situation of COVID-19 infection, restrictive measures will be reviewed.
The decisions approved today by CNESP can be found in Decision No26 of 21 August 2020.
