Apa Canal Chisinau employees negligent in wastewater management

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/- Apa Canal Chisinau has shown negligence in the wastewater management process. This is the conclusion of the working group created by the Chisinau City Hall to detect the cause of the unpleasant smell in the city.

According to Deputy Mayor Ilie Ceban, the management of Apa Canal Chisinau will have to identify the people who showed negligence and who allowed companies to discharge wastewater with a high concentration of fat into the public network, which caused odors. Ilie Ceban also said that within 60 days, unannounced inspections will be carried out at the headquarters of the companies that discharged wastewater into the city's sewerage network.

Mayor Ion Ceban asked to monitor the level of concentration of toxicity and fats in wastewater that reaches the Chisinau Wastewater Treatment Plant.
