Alarming pandemic situation recorded in Chisinau

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/- For the fifth week, there is an increase in the number of coronavirus infection in Chisinau.

Deputy head of the municipal directorate of social assistance and health Boris Galca said today at online meeting of the mayor's office services that since the beginning of the pandemic, 13,822 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Chisinau and 7,559 people were treated. "11,271 people showed mild forms", he said.

Also, he said that 811 people with coronavirus are currently hospitalized in municipal health institutions, of which 219 are in serious condition. There are currently 116 beds available in municipal hospitals.
