Over 4,800 homes purchased under First Home program

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/- So far, 4,802 homes have been purchased through the First Home program. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 2.4 billion lei, and the total value of active guarantees is 1.2 billion lei.

According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Finance, out of the total number of beneficiaries, 3,320 are families and 1,482 are unmarried young people. The average age of the applicants is 31 years. Also, out of the total number of beneficiaries, 685 persons benefit from compensations from the state budget under First Home 2, 1,822 – First Home 3 and 392 – First Home 4.

The amount of compensations granted from the state budget for the partial coverage of the expenses incurred by the beneficiaries for the payment of the mortgage loan under First Home program is 19.7 million lei.

The beneficiary of the First Home program can be a Moldovan citizen aged between 18 and 50 years, who is officially employed at a state institution or private company in the country and has income from official sources.
