All political parties can nominate candidates for president

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/- All 48 political parties in Moldova have the right to support and nominate candidates for the position of President.

During today's meeting of the Central Election Commission, list of parties and other socio-political organizations with the right to support candidates for President in the 1 November election was set up. The list can be accessed on the website of the Public Service Agency.

In order to be registered by the Central Electoral Commission, all candidates for the position of President submit subscription lists, comprising the signatures of at least 15,000 and not more than 25,000 voters from at least half of the number of administrative-territorial units of the second level of Moldova.

Also, it was decided that the registration of candidates for president will be held on 1-11 September.

The meeting focused on the additional responsibilities of the central public administration authorities, the local public authorities and institutions on ensuring conduct in good conditions of the presidential elections.
