Gas prices likely to be reduced in September

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/- Moldovagaz company will begin reducing gas prices for the end consumer this September. President Igor Dodon was informed today by Vadim Ceban, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Moldovagaz company.
According to the presidential press service, the sides considered issues related to gas supply and Moldova's energy security. They discussed the initiation of negotiations with Gazprom on the signing of a three-year contract on fuel delivery in the country. In this context, it was noted that there are premises for reducing gas prices for consumers in the fourth quarter of 2020.
At the same time, Igor Dodon and Vadim Ceban discussed the adjustment of the investment and gasification program of the country's settlements in 2020, where the planned amount was increased by 34 million lei - from 18 to 52 million lei.
The sides also approached debts for gas, including the Transnistrian region and the implementation of the third energy package of the European Union.
