Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/- Under the new recommendations of the World Health Organization and results of international studies, new provisions have been set out in the interim Protocol COVID-19. The leadership of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection made the statement today.
So, discharged patients will not be in self-isolation for 14 days, because according to WHO records, they are not contagious and do not present an epidemiological danger after 10 days of illness.
Discharge of confirmed COVID-19 persons with mild and moderate forms will be performed at least 10 days after the onset of symptoms and in addition 3 days without symptoms, without testing at discharge. The same will be done for patients undergoing treatment at home.
At the same time, MSMPS informs that Lopinavir / Ritonavir, Hydroxychloroquinum and Interferon have been excluded from the Protocol COVID-19, having proved to be ineffective.
