Moldovan president meets rector of Tiraspol State University

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon had a meeting today with Eduard Coropceanu, rector of the State University of Tiraspol and Veaceslav Ioniță, a member of the Council for Strategic Institutional Development, the presidential press service has reported.

The discussion focused on issues related to the development of the study and research in higher education institutions in the country under the pandemic.

Coropceanu informed Dodon about the 90th anniversary, which the University of Tiraspol will mark on 1 October 2020.

Noting the requirement to comply with all measures to prevent the spread of infection, the president thanked for the invitation and noted the work of the State University of Tiraspol, strength of teachers and students to the difficulties of 1992-1993 and dignity with which they preserve and enhance the prestige of higher education in the country.
