Moldovan government approves regulation on public works procurement

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/- Cabinet members approved today the Regulation on public works procurement. It repealed the decision in this regard in 2016.
The regulation sets out the mechanism for initiating and carrying out awarding public works contracts.
The public works contract is estimated by the contracting authority, in accordance with the average prices currently set on the market and in compliance with the provisions of the Public Procurement Law, except when the estimated value is calculated by an expert body authorized in line with legal provisions or according to pre-feasibility / feasibility studies.
"For public works contracts, whose estimated value, without value added tax, is less than two million lei, the publication of the notice of intent is not mandatory," the government decision says.
