National Heraldry Commission called for dignity of state flag

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/- On the eve of the national holidays of 27 August and 31 August, the National Heraldry Commission under the Moldovan President came up with an appeal to our fellow citizens, especially to the heads of public authorities and institutions, heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices of Moldova to observe the Law on State Flag of Moldova, the presidential press service has reported.

According to the commission members, the correct hoisting of the State Flag, while respecting dignity and integrity, is a duty of all citizens, and the lack of respect and insults to this holy historical symbol harms our dignity of people, country.

People with attitude and civic responsibility have repeatedly notified the National Heraldry Commission about violations in this regard. With reference to the State Flag, there are several deviations from the rules of hoisting - inappropriate place and manner, discolored, torn or dirty canvas, deformed coat of arms, short stalk etc.
