Chisinau, 27 August /MOLDPRES/- The decision to approve the Regulation on the use of groundwater for drip irrigation of agricultural land occupied by horticultural crops will be published in the Official Journal tomorrow.

The document states that the Moldovan Waters Agency, the Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources, the Environment Agency will ensure state control in sustainable use and management of groundwater for irrigation, to prevent soil degradation.

The water law stipulates that in areas where there are no necessary sources of surface water, but there are sufficient groundwater reserves, including drinking properties, they are allowed to be used for purposes other than drinking and domestic water supply under regulations approved by the government.

The issue also includes the regulation on public procurement using the negotiation procedure, and regulation on management of batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators.
