National anticorruption center detained four people following today's searches

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/- Four people, including head, deputy head, accountant and a foreman of the administration of the St. Lazar cemetery of the Funeral Services Company have been detained and are to be escorted to the National Anticorruption Center / CNA /.
According to CNA spokeswoman Angela Starinschi, they are suspected of claiming extra money from the people who were to bury their relatives. They are also under criminal investigation for bribery in the case of eternal place reservations.
CNA and prosecutors today conducted searches on 22 addresses in Chisinau as part of criminal cases on active, passive corruption and fraud committed by employees of the Funeral Services Company.
