Over 4,800 homes purchased through First Home program

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/- So far, 4,826 homes have been purchased through the First Home program. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 2.4 billion lei, and the total value of active guarantees is 1.2 billion lei.

According to the Ministry of Finance, out of the total number of beneficiaries, 3331 are families, and 1495 are unmarried young people. The average age of the applicants is 31 years. Also, 688 persons benefit from compensations from the state budget within the First Home 2, 1827 – First Home 3, 392 – First Home 4 and 1 – First Home 5.

The amount of compensations from the state budget for the partial coverage of the expenses incurred by the beneficiaries for the payment of the mortgage loan within the First Home is 21.6 million lei.

The beneficiary of the First Home program can be a Moldovan citizen aged between 18 and 50 years, who is officially employed at a state institution or private company in the country and has income from official sources.
