Moldovan electoral body made public total number of voters

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/- The total number of voters registered in the State Register of Voters, on 2 September 2020 is 3,290,312.

Today, the Central Electoral Commission issued a press release in which it made public the number of voters registered in the State Register of Voters. The electoral authority informed that out of the total number of voters registered in the State Register of Voters (3,290,312), 2,810,689 citizens eligible to vote are assigned to administrative-territorial units of level II.

According to the electoral authority, the difference includes persons who have Moldovan citizenship, but do not have registration at home or residence, including those who emigrated authorized abroad (230,384 people) and citizens with the right to vote recorded in administrative-territorial units from the left bank of the Dniestre, temporarily outside the sovereign control of the constitutional control of Moldova (249.239).
