Chisinau, 3 September /MOLDPRES/- The cabinet approved today several budgetary-fiscal measures to support the processes carried out in the educational system, under COVID-19 pandemic, and mitigation of natural disasters in the agricultural sector.
Thus, by setting rules derogating from the Law on the unitary salary system in the budgetary sector, it will be ensured the possibility for teachers to perform tasks over workload with wage payment in the corresponding amount.
As a result of many discussions and meetings with farmers, the draft law provides for the establishment of more favorable conditions for the application of the Interest Subsidy Program and VAT Reimbursement Program by farmers affected by natural disasters.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Serghei Pușcuța, the main goal of the proposed measures is to ensure the food security of the state, in the conditions of natural disasters, by increasing, at a higher rate, the budget support offered to affected agricultural producers.
To implement the measures, an additional 105 million lei will be allocated from the state budget for paying salary for teachers who will work over the workload, and 100 million lei for the VAT reimbursement to farmers.
