Moldovan president attends event on National Army Day

Chisinau, 3 September /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon participated today in a ceremony on the 29th anniversary of the National Army, the presidential press service has reported.

The president congratulated civilian employees and veterans of the National Army on this beautiful holiday, expressing appreciation for the excellent organisation of constitutional missions, outstanding results in work and training, safe and confident execution of the most difficult tasks and for firm and swift action whenever necessary to support our citizens.

Dodon noted he is confident that the army in cooperation with veterans' organizations will continue to train and promote an active civic position among young people, based on discipline, honor and truth.

The president assured that the current leadership of the country will take joint actions to strengthen the national defense system, improve the conditions of execution of the service, support the servicemen and their families and to ensure the social protection of veterans.

He awarded state distinctions and diplomas of the President of the Republic of Moldova to several employees and veterans of the National Army.
