Package of laws to support farmers submitted to parliament

Chisinau, 7 September /MOLDPRES/- The package of legislative amendments agreed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the state budget rectification and the projects for supporting farmers were submitted to the parliament for adoption. Prime Minister Ion Chicu made the statement at the end of today’s meeting with the top leadership of the country.
Financial situation of the country for the next period depends on how the projects will be approved.
He said that last week, the cabinet examined the rectification of the state budget, and revenues will decrease by 649.5 million lei to 37.2 billion lei, and expenditures will decrease by 1.8 billion lei to 53.2 billion lei. Following the rectification, the allocations for the education system will be supplemented with almost 140 million lei, of which 105 million will be distributed for additional salaries to teachers, and the rest will be allocated for equipping schools with anti-epidemic protection equipment. Also at the last meeting of the government, it was decided to increase the one-off aid for pensioners and people with low incomes from 700 to 900 lei.
