Moldovan president announced his candidacy for second term as president

Chisinau, 9 September /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission today registered the initiative group to collect signatures in support of Igor Dodon for a second term as president.

The initiative group of the Party of Socialists consists of one hundred people and is led by Vlad Batrancea, PSRM MP.

"I took this decision following the support of Moldovan citizens to continue the socio-economic initiatives launched during the first term", he said.

Today the CEC also registered the initiative groups to support candidates Violeta Ivanov, nominated by the Shor Party, Ion Costaș and Constantin Oboroc, nominated by the citizens' assembly.

The initiative groups will collect signatures by 1 October 2020.
