Moldovan MPs rectify state budget law

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today approved the draft law on the amendment of the state budget law in the first reading.

Under the document, the volume of the state budget for 2020 is diminished in terms of revenues - by 649.5 million lei to 37,201.5 million lei and in terms of expenses – by 1,856.7 million lei to 53,200.9 million lei. Respectively, the deficit decreases by 1,207.2 million lei: from 17,206.6 million lei to 15,999.4 million lei, which represents 7.8 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The draft on rectification of the state budget was worked out by the Finance Ministry. According to the authors, all re-evaluated parameters were agreed upon with experts of the International Monetary Fund within discussions for the new IMF Programme for Moldova.

The document will be considered in the second reading as well.
