Moldovan government holds meeting

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today chaired a cabinet meeting, with 14 subjects on the agenda, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The participants in the meeting approved the amendments proposed by the MPs to the draft on amendment of the state budget for 2020. The ministers backed only 8 amendments, of which seven fully and one partially, out of the 46 ones, which demand both financial means and redistribution of allocations and proposal to change the purpose of financial means allocated to local public administration. The government did not agree with the amendments which provide for the cutting of the budget meant for roads’ infrastructure.   

The government positively approved also amendments filed by lawmakers on the package of backing farmers. In this respect, 11 amendments were received, of which only the ones which do not entail additional costs were positively approved.

The participants in the today’s meeting ruled to give, as a priority, the right to services of rehabilitation and recovery for elderly people, adult disabled people, insured people and the veterans who have pulmonary fibrosis as a result of COVID-19 in the first nine months after the disease.  

The cabinet of ministers approved the model of the uniform and the distinctive signs of the General Inspectorate of Carabineers. The new uniform will include a string of new elements (stuff, colour, footwear) and will be created according to the European model. Under the draft, the switch to the new uniform will be made after the present stocks are exhausted.  

The ministers approved also the concept of the automated information system, Electronic register of employees, which implies ensuring the record of the employed people.   

„The electronic register of employees will regard not only the public sector. Subsequently, after it is successfully tested and implemented in the budgetary sector, it could be extended in the private sector. Much work has been carried out on this project, including I had numerous meetings with business people, who expressed their opinion on the concerned concept,’’ Ion Chicu said.
