Moldova's Medicines and Medical Devices Agency authorizes more types of anti-flu vaccine

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (AMDM) today informed that the institution had authorized more types of anti-flu vaccine.

According to AMDM’s data, presently, the State Classified List of Medicines contains the following types of anti-flu vaccines: VaxigripTetra, Influvac and GCFLU. These vaccines are recommended and pre-qualified by the World Health Organization for the northern hemisphere, the cold season of 2020.

“Unfortunately, the cold season of this year will be even more complicated than usually, given that we face the pandemic triggered by COVID-19 and a negative evolution of the seasonal flu might put an additional pressure on the health system.’’ the AMDM director, Eremei Priseajniuc, has said.

Specialists in medicine recommend that Moldova’s citizens vaccinate themselves against the flu virus.
