As many as 229 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,204 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 229 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 43,207 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 12 out of all cases are medical employees: 6 physicians, 3 medical assistants and 3 auxiliary staff employees.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 594 are in serious condition (of whom 40 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus) and 1,403 persons are in medium seriousness condition; the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

Another 498 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 31,828 persons have been healed of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another seven deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,130 people dead of this virus in all. So far, 33 medical employees have lost their fight with COVID-19.
