Three regional laboratories of Moldovan National Public Health Agency receive new equipment with Switzerland's support

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ - Those three regional laboratories of the National Public Health Agency (ANSP) from Balti, Chisinau and Cahul have been endowed with auxiliary laboratories, consumables and continuing and extending activities of diagnosing COVID-19 cases, purchased with sources of the project, Sound Lifestyle: reducing the burden of non-transmissible diseases, financed by the Swiss Cooperation Office.
According to ANSP specialists, the auxiliary equipment, the consumables donated will double the number of samples up to 800 daily at the Chisinau-based central laboratory and 300 samples daily in each of the laboratories from Balti and Cahul. The equipment cost 46,000 Swiss francs.
Switzerland is among the biggest bilateral donors of grants in Moldova’s healthcare sector.
