Moldovan capital's city hall sets up working group due to make proposals on adjusting legislation in constructions sector

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ - The municipal authorities will coordinate actions of prevention, ascertaining and punishing of those who infringe the law in the constructions sector.
The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, informed on social networks that a joint working groups had been created, made up of decision-makers of the Chisinau city hall, Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, Agency for Technical Supervision and Interior Ministry. The working group will adjust the legislation in the constructions field, will propose its completion with efficient control and intervention mechanisms in the case of infringements in constructions.
According to Ceban, the new legislation in the sector will regulate, from the legal viewpoint, the authorities’ intervention in the cases of abandoned constructions, in order to oblige owners to take care of the neglected constructions sites or the intervention in the case when the construction authorization is issued for a number of floors and more floors are eventually added.
Ion Ceban noted that there were about 2,000 constructions with various problems in the Chisinau municipality.
