Moldovan foreign minister had phone conversation with Swedish counterpart

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/- Sweden's takeover of the presidency of the OSCE and priorities, issues related to the situation in the region, as well as developments in the Transnistrian conflict settlement were the topics discussed by Foreign Minister Oleg Tulea and Foreign Minister of Sweden Ann Linde, the MAEIE's press service has reported.
The officials exchanged views on topical issues on the OSCE agenda, with a particular focus on the priorities of the incoming presidency in office.
Welcoming Sweden's commitment to focus efforts on the peaceful settlement of OSCE conflicts, the Moldovan diplomat highlighted the role of the OSCE as a key partner for Moldova in the Transnistrian conflict settlement and providing the necessary assistance and expertise to Moldovan authorities on issues related to human rights, rule of law and civil society.
Discussing current developments in the Transnistrian conflict settlement, Țulea reiterated Chisinau's concerns about the alarming situation of human rights in the Transnistrian region and noted the need to fully and effectively restore free movement for all people in the region.
At the end, Țulea sent an invitation to his Swedish counterpart to pay an official visit to Moldova, the invitation was accepted by Linde.
