Chisinau city hall to remove illegally installed barriers, access restraints

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/- Starting today, municipal enterprises will carry out within five days works to dismantle barriers, access limiters, fences or unauthorized constructions in Chisinau.

According to a press release of Chisinau city hall, district praetor’s office identified the addresses of land, municipal property, where obstacles illegally installed by businesses or private people on public spaces or roads belonging to the municipality are to be removed. Deputy Mayor Victor Chironda has recently signed the instruction saying that the local authorities are to release from obstacles illegally located 15 lands or spaces on the territory of Chisinau municipality.

People who will repeatedly install barriers and / or access restrictions will be penalized in accordance with the legislation in force and required to dismantle them on their own.

The measure taken by the municipal authorities aims to ensure the access of special and intervention services to public institutions, blocks of flats and private sector.
