As many as 622 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,815 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 622 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 44,983 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), four out of all cases are of import. Thirty four out of all cases are medical employees: 11 physicians, 21 medical assistants and 2 auxiliary staff employees.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 547 are in serious condition (of whom 36 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus) and 1,231 persons are in medium seriousness condition; the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

Another 465 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 32,239 persons have been healed of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 11 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,170 people dead of this virus in all.
