Two trucks filled with explosives stopped by police

Chisinau, 18 September /MOLDPRES/- Two trucks loaded with explosives were stopped and detained by law enforcement officers on the roads near the capital.

According to police, after checking, the police found in vehicles 74 boxes with detonator capsules and about 8,757 kg of explosives, made in Romania and Ukraine and used in explosive works on industrial objects.

Law enforcement officers ruled that the trucks did not have the required ADR road signs and did not hold a dangerous goods permit, and drivers were not trained on specific cargo they were carrying. At the same time, the accompanying documents were drawn up with deviations from the fiscal legislation, and the goods were to reach an unauthorized warehouse in a village in Straseni.

The explosives were submitted for technical verification.
